I gave up caffeine for Lent one year, so I hear ya.

Try Dr Pepper

Have you tried decaffeinated? It works. Good luck!

i'm sorry, sugar! quitting smoking cold turkey was easier than going without coffee for a week for me! xoxoxo

Same as Sav!
I gave up coffee once, worst morning of my life!

(Why are you off the coffee again?)

:¬)

Are you not allowed to put coffee in your beautiful new mug?

I hope the withdrawal signs cease soon. It is a good thing you are doing so stick with it if possible.

caffeine is a tough one! decaf is only 97% caffeine free.

Gee...don't think words will help with this one...especially after the post about that cute mug.

But here it goes anyway.....

Sorry buddy :)

Hi Kim,
Caffeine, sugar, alcohol, tobacco….withdrawal symptoms aren’t easy to handle, but eventually they do subside.

oh, see, that's what it feels like to work in accounting. you could have kept the coffee, if that's what you were going for.

Why? I've tried cutting back because of over consumption, failed..

If it works you'll be glad you did it, if it doesn't you'll be able to take it up again. Imagine the joy of that first cup!

Oh but you are going to feel so much better soon. Have you read my blog post about detox? I swear it was much worse than going without caffeine

Good luck, though I feel your pain!

WHY!? I don't think it would be worth it. Life without coffee, nope, can't/won't do it. I taken soda out, but I don't think I could do coffee.

I'm sure there is a great reason for doing this. Perhaps you should tattoo it on your forehead and look in the mirror often.

Emma - :(

Pollinatrix - it sucks, doesn't it

Carole - Har har har...

Dangerous writer - apart from the fact decaffeinated still contains a small amount of caffeine, it doesn't work - it's the devils piss. A bit like Dr Peppers...

Savannah - quitting smoking was the pits. Fortunately, 3 months later I met Maggie and if I'd still been smoking we would never have got together

Mapstew - I have an explanatory post lined up for the morning

Hope - herbal teas only

Pat - no headache today, just the zombie like existence

Starrlife - I've never seen the point of decaf

Roschelle - I'm not expecting any words to help - I'm just venting, but I appreciate your thoughts

Keepin afloat - I certainly don't want to have to go through this ever again. If I go back on coffee, this time it will be for life...

Vicky - did you know, 1 cup can actually cause some people more problems? Because caffeine withdrawal symptoms can begin between 12 and 24 hours after your last cup, if means you can end up feeling lousy every day for a few hours before your only coffee.

Litzi - eventually...

Alice - time to get a new job!

Emma - I have an explanatory post lined up for the morning

Eryl - you're a wise woman :)
