The blog of photographer Kim Ayres

Suprisingly gentle

On a cold, wet and windy autumn day, the clouds briefly part.

Momentarily, a ball of fire a million times larger than the earth and 93 million miles away, gently caresses my skin and brings a smile to my face.

It didn't take you 1000 words to create that picture...lovely! Are you a poet too Kim...or is your poetry created with your photography?!

Don't you find the autumnal sun gives a special light - especially through falling leaves?

So THAT's where the sun went today...it's on holiday with you!

(It's damp and misty and cold...not southern like at all.)

Thanks to each of your for your warm words.

I've been thinking about creatig this post for some time. I was in the garden one day when I was just struck by the fact the largest and most destructive force in our solar system was far enough away so I could just feel its caress - it felt a bit mind blowing to be honest...
