Lovely! Over here, one makes a wish when blowing on a dandelion... did Meg make 167 wishes?!?

Beautiful!
Unlike most southerners, I don't see dandelions as weeds but as wishes waiting to happen. :) Now, if I ever get your way, THAT would be what I'd want my photo to include. :)
In fact, my favorite print is one by a local artist entitled "Wishes in the Wind". He does such realistic paintings that I've seen people at his shows try to "brush off" what appears to be flaking paint on window sills.
If you're curious, the last print on this link is the one I have.

beautiful! I love it. And only 167 shots....wow, but totally worth it. :-D Sometimes it's only takes 1 shot and other times it's that last one just before you give up.

Only 167 shots? Well done!
Nice photo, thanks for the post. - 10:16 pm, April 29, 2011

Ponita - I'm not sure dandelions giving you wishes is a UK tradition. But if she did, it would be 167 wishes to be on "Strictly Come Dancing" :)
Guyana-Gyal - it was in the back garden, and we ran out of dandelions :)
Hope - thanks for the link - it would be good to see the image a bit larger
Lynne - well, it wasn't quite 167 shots, and there were lots of nice ones, but this was my favourite :)
Capt. Schmoe - welcome to my ramblings and thank you for taking the time to comment :) - 11:01 pm, April 29, 2011

My kids used to love to blow on the dandelions! Now I know that when they are in bloom, it is time to plant potatoes. Lovely photo :-)

A lovely picture.
Thank goodness for digital film - 167 photos on film is a lot of developing. I'm round the clock on my camera (over 10000 pics) and there's no way that would have happened if I'd had to buy film and get it developed. - 11:30 am, April 30, 2011

Which reminds me, I've had dandelion coffee, tastes just like coffee but good for the liver [or so I've read].

Clicking on the link made it slightly larger but the real deal is long and beautiful...as if the wind stretched the picture.

That's a really nice photo. I love dandelions. I don't think of them as weeds either, I think they are pretty.

Here's more dandelions if you want a few more shots, Kim. Although you'll have to wait for them to go to seed... ;-)

I remember someone saying that digital photography has made us all lazy but I think that what's it's done has freed us up to get that perfect shot. I know I chase it down a whole lot harder now than back in the day when I had to worry about paying for my mistakes!

Jayne - thank you :)
Allen - it usually does :)
Soozie - thank you :)
Debra - good gardening tip!
Sandy - when I won the Fujifilm camera 2 years ago, I took nearly 18,000 photos with it in 12 months. I've calmed down a bit since I got the new Canon a year ago, but have still just gone past the 10,000 mark with that one
Guyana-Gyal - I've never tried dandelion coffee. Does it have caffeine in it?
Hope - I'm sure it works much better when it's bigger :)
Jasmine - my mum used to say "a weed is just a flower in the wrong place"
Ponita - you need to find another field for your greatneice to run through then :)
Falak - thank you :)
Pat - she is very patient - and she did like the photo :)
Andrea - I think digital photography has opened it up to a lot more people. It's easier for anyone to get a reasonable photograph now. But it still takes a lot of practice to be able to consistently take good photographs. But you no longer have to have thousands of dollars worth of equipment to learn on. - 8:49 pm, May 02, 2011

LOVE it! It's a perfect dandelion-blowing-picture with the little flying thingys perfectly "arranged" in the air. You should sell it as a postcard :)

Erika - for a postcard, I'd either need a cute 4-year old, or a sexy 20-something :)

Zero caffeine as far as I know. I can't take too much caffeine.

Ah well, I only drank coffee for the caffeine buzz - never really liked the taste of it, only the effects :)
Besides, it's not far off a year now since I gave it up - 12:20 am, May 03, 2011
