Exhibition Poster

.
Less than 2 weeks to the exhibtion now, so I thought I'd better get a poster designed and printed up:

I'm looking for as much help with publicity as I can muster, so if you'd like to print up a copy and stick it in your window, in shop windows in your town, or email to friends, it would be a great help.

It's available either as a JPG image or in PDF Format, which you can download by clicking on either of the following links.

And if you live in a part of the world where no one would have any idea where Gatehouse of Fleet is, you can stick one on your wall as a keepsake :)

Good luck with it - great poster. I bet it will be an exhibition with a really strong appeal to a wide public. Eye-opening!

Hi Kim, poster looks great. At the risk of teaching you to suck eggs etc, have you sent a short press release and a copy of the poster to the tourist office, the List, the Skinny, Scotsman and Herald? And, of course, whatever your local D&G paper is....I'll shut up now and go and interfere elsewhere...! V

Falak & Savannah - thank you - hope it looks good on the wall :)

V - actually, while I know about web promotion, when it comes to sending things to newspapers and magazines and the like, I'm much more clueless and uncertain.

If you fancy being my press officer (seriously) - just send me an email and I can give you details and bits of blurb for press releases and write ups

Best of luck Kim, and the poster looks great! :¬)

We had Border TV at the paintball site yesterday filming a big game. And they came because Stevie phoned them up and told them all about it. He was also on the radio on Friday and in the local papers. The local press are always looking for local stuff that's a bit different and interesting. And let's face it, it's a bit dull around these parts most of the time, law-abiding and pretty as it is. So, why not give them a call?

The poster's great.

That's a very powerful poster. I like it very much. I will post about your exhibition on facebook, as I have a couple of friends up in Scotland. (I have more than two friends, they just happen to be the two that live in Scotland... Oh, you know what I mean.) Also, I can relate to the comment you left on my blog, as I have M.E./C.F.S. too. It's a total bugger. I feel exhausted like that too, just haven't posted much about it yet on my blog. I like writing just about creative things on my blog so that it feels like a place for me that's not invaded by the illness, unlike other areas of my life. Wishing you all good things for your exhibition. You are a very inspiring person, Kim. Emma :)

I actually stared back at that fellow...intrigued. You're so good at this!

Guess I'll have to be part of the Poster Gang Across the Pond. :)

Then again, who knows? Maybe that can be my recruitment angle with our Cultural Commission for find a grant to get you stateside. The only catch: you have to pack Rachel Fox, Hugh McMillan and the duo of Map and Jimmy B.. I'm sure once the volcano quits belching, the rates would be great.

Should I worry that my verification is "cryme"? Is that "crime" or "cry me"...as if I'm speaking like Yoda. ;)

Can I just stick you on the wall instead? What? I adore you THAT much!

So many well wishes for the show coming your way that I fear you shall be buried beneath the sheer mass.

I was going to mention local radio but I see Eryl has mentioned it.
Really Kim it pays to cover every outlet - having put all that work and effort in you want as many people to see it as possible so you have to ram it home by all means available. Now is not the time to be a shrinking violet. You are an excellent photographer with excellent exhibits and people will be grateful for the opportunity to see it.
Here endeth...
Sad I can't see it:(

It'll be on my office door in the morning. I wish you could sign it for me.

I love the poster! I hope the exhibition will be a great success. All you need is good publicity: once people see your work, they will fall in love with it. I absolutely believe it.

Truly intriguing, Kim...Really grabs the viewer and pulls him in (uh, "her" in this case), as I'm sure all of your portraits will...

Can't wait for the epilogue on all this!!

Somehow, I think that hanging one of your posters in my window in the USA won't help your publicity much!!

I do love the poster. The photo invokes several emotions and I wish I could see more of your stuff.

Incredible poster, Kim. Very "eye catching". I agree with the comments about local media coverage.

I'll do a post about he show (next post up in a couple days).

Mapstew - thank you :)

Eryl - has it been shown yet, or do you know when they will? I'll need to tune in to watch!

Emma - thank you for your support and your kind words :)

Hope - Might be easier for you to come here than ship half of Scotland and Ireland over there :)

Zaedah - If you stuck me to the wall, I'd probably begin to smell after a while...

Pat - thank you for always making me feel so special :)

Fay - you'll need to get a collection together at work for the "fly Fay over to Scotland" fund :)

Erika - thank you for your kind words :)

Hindsfeet - if you visit the Facebook page (see a couple of posts ago) I have an album on there with 10 of the 24 images

Suz - you need to find some local companies to sponsor the exhibtion (plus photographer and family) to be exhibited for a month in your corner of the US :)

Gillian - thank you :)

Technobabe - thank you :)

Charlie - that's very kind of you :)
