Grandad III

.
This is it folks, I am now a Grandad three times over.

On Monday 15th, at 4.45pm, my grandson, Cormac, was born, weighing in at a respectable 9lb 8oz.

He’s gone from this:

to this:

I would like to claim all the credit, but to be honest my stepdaughter, Layla, did most of the work. OK, all of it, if you’re going to be insistent about it. Can’t a grandfather claim a bit of reflected glory?

Both are healthy and doing well. We’ll be going up to visit at the weekend.

For those who are wondering what I'm doing being a Grandad at a mere 42 years of age, please refer to this post, and this one.

Congratulations, Kim, even if you did none of the work. Cormac is a fine-looking bairn.

Nine-and-a-half pounds: I suspect Mom is still feeling a little woozy today. And next week. And next month.

It must be the month for big babies. My new niece was born on the 10th December weighing in at 8lbs 4.

Looking forward to seeing some photo's of Cormac. I won't get to see Olivia until Christmas Eve at the earliest :( But I will be there with camera in hand ;)

Oh, Kim! How lovely! Ironically, I posted about "new people" today on my blog as well. TWO of my co-workers had babies on the same day (Monday)! How weird was that!

Your new grandson is a handsome lad. I guess he takes afer his grandfather?
