Rogan is a Teenager

.
Yes folks, my wee baby boy turned 13 today.

In keeping with family tradition, I’ve been working away on Photoshop to create a personalised card for him. Last week we watched The Matrix together, which he really enjoyed, so that provided the inspiration for this year’s creation (for previous years, go to the archives and look up June 16th).

blogger ate my comment.

Buy the boy a drink on me, I'll pay you later. It'll be eight years till he gets another the way things are going.

By ethercoincidence my post for this evening has been scuppered by yours, so I'll wait till tomorrow so you'll know it DOES NOT refer to you or yours.

Fantastic card, Kim. Now the question remains for Rogan - blue or red pill?

That picture is great and it cracks me up, Kim! And it captures the whole spirit of adolescence perfectly.

When you photograph me, please leave out my attitude.

Happy Birthday to Rogan!

Justin - although did you see the disclaimer at the bottomwhich said it might make the symptoms worse?

Dr Maroon - I look forward to finding out what you're talking about

Tom - he's a red pill kind of lad and no mistake

KarateMom - because of my stepchildren I've had 3 teenagers already, so have a rough idea what to expect... sigh...

Carole - he did, thanks :)

Mary - mind you, I think Meg possibly looks the coolest of all of us in this pic...

I'm so impressed that Rogan took the time to bake a birthday cake for me (or Stevie rather) during his own birthday season. He is 'The One' no doubt!

Happy belated birthday to him. Tell him the cake was (is) gorgeous: moist, sticky and moreish. I hope he made himself one as good.

Ah 13. Angst-producing times for both parent and child. And yet, for the child on the cusp of adulthood, exciting times, to be sure. I still have friends from those days. In fact, our entire junior high school class of 700, plus the one ahead and the one behind us, are all kept in touch with one another through the incredible efforts of one woman. Every day she posts a happy birthday notice and posts a photo "then" and one "now." Too great. And yes, I have one of myself at that tender age! Happy birthday Rogan! Many wonderful years are ahead for you, I just know it.

Thank you everyone for your birthday wishes to Rogan. He seemed to enjoy his day.

Of course there was a cake, but this one was made by his mother and decorated by his sister and was very tasty.

Very tasty.

Too tasty.

I really shouldn't have eaten that much...

Sam - he had a great day, thanks :)

Tara Marie - I've just put up a post of Meg looking cool. It's amazing what you can do with a pair of sunglasses, an old leather coat and Photoshop :)
