Meg on a swing

The sound of a child laughing can be quite infectious. While in France Maggie filmed me pushing Meg on the swing. It's not the greatest action shot in the world, but I love her sheer enjoyment.

It also gave me an excuse to try out embedding video into the blog, using Google Video just in case I ever decide to do a video blog in the future.

You have to click on it twice - once for it to respond to the fact that the mouse is on it, and the second time to make it play.

I am a friend of Always Chaos and found you through her blog! I loved the video clip and admire the fact that you are documenting the weight loss! The laugh is infectious and I smile just hearing it!

Hey there Kim!! that is a super clip. She was most certainly having a fun time and so were you. fabulous!
I need to learn how to do that as I have wanted to post a clip from my son's black belt ceremony and just hadn't figured it out yet.

god.. those were the days when being pushed on a swing was all that was needed to inspire laughter and joy.

my niece's laughter has that same affect on me, it's terribly infectious. it's not rare to catch us both sitting on the couch making each other laugh, till our guts ache.

Quinn - Once you know what you're doing it's fairly straight forward, but I must admit that Google Video isn't clear to use. It could really do with a step-by-step set of instructions.

Sarah - what a truth that is! Part of the wonder of the laughter is the realisation that it is just the pure joy of the moment.

Meg says "yeah", and we're off!You can almost feel the butterflies.

Do all adults have this facility surgically removed from them while coming home on the 19 bus on a wet Tuesday night in January? Obviously not, or the sound of laughter would have no effect on us.

Dr Maroon - I think what we have surgically removed is the ability to truly live in the moment. As we grow up we begin tolive either in the future (what are we having for dinner tonight/ where will I go with my life) or the past (I wish I hadn't done that/ life was better back then).

To train ourselves in meditation techniques to exist in the here and now takes years as an adult to achieve what children enjoy naturally.

Sigh

SafeTinspector - You'll just have to keep having more kids until Sam's giving you grandchildren. Then you'll have a never ending supply of children to entertain.

What an angel she is!

its wonderful to capture the beautiful (yet simple) moments in life and keep them for when life is ugly.

Oh Kim, that is music to my ears.....Meg's infectious giggle reminds me so much of my Emma Sage's......can you imagine if we could bottle that beautiful essence of our daughters...we'd have an exilir of the GODS.

Happykat - I think we also have to give credit her to Maggie's nifty camera work

RNP - it's the swing. She laughs like that whoever's pushing her. If we go to the park she will stay on the thing the entire time if she can. I once pushed her for nearly 20 minutes- I was exhausted and in a state of near collapse ans she was still yelling for me to push her higher.

Tara Marie - I think you're right.And with the right marketing campaign we could make a fortune :)
