45 Today

Today I finally reach 45 years old – middle aged if I live to 90…

It’s been suggested I’ve always been 45. Even when I was 6 I would sit in with the adults and voice my opinions about the world or the topic under discussion. And I was always much happier with kids being in the role of dad or granddad rather than classmate.

45 is a good age.

I have a wife I’m madly in love with

I have children I adore

I can’t think of a better job than taking photos of people

I live in a beautiful part of the country

The CFS is on the decline (more about that in posts to come).

None of these things has come about without a huge amount of work, time, dedication and luck, but I appreciate every last bit of it.

Right now, I wouldn’t want to be any other age.

As you may remember I turned 45 11 days ago. I kept telling everyone who wished me a happy birthday, "I'm halfway done." No one thought I was funny. Many happy returns of the day.

It does my heart good to hear that your CFS is on the decline. It isn't fun with chronic health problems. I know. I have some issues that I deal with all the time and it can be so frustrating at times.

Happy Birthday!

You kid, you.

At 6, a philosopher with a beard. Odd, but not unheard of. I think Dr. Sigmund Frood was similar.

The best news is about the CFS. I wondered about that during Wigtown.

Happy Birthday, my friend.

And I was always the kid "10 going on 35"...I was kinda disappointed when nothing spectacular happened on my 35th birthday. :)

I say the more birthdays the better...carry on!

You're a puppy! My 40s were my favorite decade. That's when things really started getting good. Sounds like you've already got a good start, my friend. :)

Since we've been out of town until last night, I'm late in wishing you joy, love, peace and more. Last year you had your own holiday---this year you do, too, it's just quieter.

Kim Ayres said...

Amanda - happy birthday to you too - hope you had a good one :)

Jayne - with your move and changes, sounds like you're getting your decade under control too :)

Allen - pretty much :)

Debra - don't worry about being late - I appreciate your wishes :)
