The blog of photographer Kim Ayres

And The Winner Is…

.
Thank you to everyone who entered the free prize draw. There were 15 entries in total

Using an online random selector, the winner chosen was the blogger, Kiwi Chick

With the photo she sent, she wrote,
“Would love to see how you can enhance the attached photo - some wrinkle removal would be great. I'd also like to crop my mum out of the picture at some point - not because I don't love her - more so that I have got a photo of just me (without too many wrinkles) to save.”

Here is a video showing the selection and the transition.

If this has sparked any thoughts of potential gifts for loved ones, then do get in contact (email address on my profile).

Zipped through the video and had a wtf moment at 1:10, you should try it, it comes as a bit of a shock.
I must say you put my PS skills to shame.
Maybe it's time I upgraded from 7.0.
I'll send you a pic as soon as I can come up with something decent.

I'm very impressed. I hope Kiwi was pleased.

I could do the same thing if you allowed me 12 or 13 years to learn the program, and I found some talent somewhere.

Nice job.

Wow! I am very impressed with what can be done - although I am slightly embarrassed to see my face plastered on the internet like that. hahahahaha

Thanks Kim!

You are too cool!

Sadly, Mom didn't come through with the much anticipated [and dreaded if I'm honest] photos from Thanksgiving.

Ah well, perhaps you'll have a Christmas contest. :)

OMG - all I could think (apart from 'Nup, spider eyes are not a good look') was "Wow. What an awesome voice". Ooh ... now I'm blushing ...

Hey kim you did a great job..and I enjoyed the commentary ...however..

I did not see my name on your example of where you put the names in the random selector and I did submit my photo very early into your contest.

so I do not think I was even in your draw :(

Thank you all for your appreciative comments :)

KC - this is why I tried warning people any image submitted would appear on the blog :) Thanks for being up for it :)

Hope - I did wonder if I was going to get a photo from you

Library Girl - it's usually only Americans and Canadians who fall for an English accent. I didn't think it was all that pleasant to Autralian ears...

Gillian - there still aren't any to speak of!

Karatemom - Aha... I see what's happened. You are the only one who entered via Facebook, and you didn't email me a hi-res image. When I was collecting the names together, I went through my gmail inbox. Send me a hi-res version of the image and I'll take a look at it

karatemom said...

yeah I submitted by facebook but you told me IF I won the draw I would have to then submit you a high resolution photo..

So I was just awaiting the outcome before resending.

but its all good no worry.

Wow, that is incredible! And the video was very well done too. (But I'm glad you left off the make up!)

Amazing Kim!!!!

This is great! Clever man. Bet you can change a plug too!

Kim Ayres said...

KarateMom - I accept I was in the wrong here, so if you want to send me a hi-res image, I'll have a go at it for you :)

Mary - Maggie never wears make-up, so I couldn't ask her for advice either...

Stella - thank you :)

Chastity - I can indeed. But don't ask me to put a shelf up...

Very impressive Kim. And I was shocked at the voice. I thought you were going to be Scottish. Why did I think that? Is it public that you live in Scotland or am I dreaming?

Kim Ayres said...

It all depends how much of my blog you've read. In various places it's mentioned that while I have lived in Scotland for over 20 years - my wife and children, stepchildren and grandchildren are Scottish, and I feel more home here than anywhere else in the UK - I was born in England and have English parents. This has given me the accent I have
