LOL I've seen that on forms too. It used to be parent or guardian, I wonder why they changed it.

SO glad they give you such a choice! Who makes out these forms? Did you choose the “Parent” or the “Responsible person”?
I remember on some employment forms where the category was “Sex” instead of “Gender”; I was seriously considering entering a date. But I chickened out.

This may be why people have two parents - it increases the chances of one of them being a responsible person. Anyway, when asked if I'm the responsible person my first natural instinct is to say, "it wasn't me!"
