Rich and famous

.
"When you're rich and famous, you can buy us one of those," I said to Rogan as we watched an episode of Top Gear reviewing an Aston Martin DB9.

"Your mother will say she'd rather have a house, but we'd definitely have more fun with that."

"When I'm rich and famous," he replied, "I'm buying myself a Koenigsegg CCX"

Now's probably not a good time to ask then if he'll shove us in a home when we're old.

This is what you get for letting your kids go wild on the internet, viewing pictures of naked cars.

Lol, that is way too funny....I always had a passion for Morgan's when I lived in the UK. Now that I am back home I still want a 74 Eldorado convertible...one of these days.

Peace

You're worried about your kids shoving you into a home? I'm worried about my kids shoving us onto the STREET. I'd happily take the home.

They've already choosen the home. If we (Mrs BW and I) behave ourselves they will let us go to one together, if we don't they will seperate us. I think their're joking.

Ah, a Koenigsegg. Nice. I'd prefer the DB9 though :D

They modify their tastes as they get older, Bob used to want some sort of jet but now (he's 22) he says if he ever makes any money he'll have a lot of coats. So I reckon he'll still be able to get me a little mews house in Belgravia.

What is a Koeniggsegg, some sort of vehicle?

A Koeniwhat? :) I'd go for a Harley Davidson, myself.
Love the last line, you have such a way of twisting a post at the last moment and making it hilarious.
Yes, thank goodness for Christmas - I hope you all have a happy one, and a great new year's, too.

Ché l'écossais - welcome to my ramblings and thank you for taking the time to comment. At 12 years old, autoporn is probably just the start of it...

Jeff - I love Morgans too. Have you seen their Life Car concept?

Mary - ha! Good point :)

Birdwatcher - I'm beginning to think that at the first sign that dementia is hitting, Maggie & I will just drive over the edge of a cliff. Unless of course the dementia makes me forget how to drive...

FLG - mmMMMmm... DB9...

Eryl - I take it he's been a student in Scotland...

A Koenigsegg is a supercar that does about 250mph, but you'd struggle to fit the shopping into it.

Freakazojd - ah! A biker chick... I have the beard, I used to have the leather jacket, but I just drive a Mazda 3. Never did ride a bike

Casdok - :)

I have joked in the past with my son that I'll be living with him and his family unit eventually. He's only 15. Now, it's not funny when he mentions it, also jokingly. I fear that it might come true. I suspect he will be wealthy one day because he holds onto his money so tightly - though he spends mine freely enough.

Rogan's got good taste. What's he going to be famous for?

Have a Merry Christmas. My only hope is that the home they shove you into has internet access, so your blog survives.

Has he decided WHAT he'll be rich and famous for yet? Not that it seems to matter these days...

Jupiter's Girl and Oblivion Seeker - well he was tlaking about becoming a Jazz trumpeter, but he seems to have become very lax in his trumpet practice these days

Jeff - you're welcome :)

Michael - there'll just be an increase in the number of amphibious vehicles...

Rebecca and family - thank you, and the very best to you too :)

MikeP - I was in a home recently where they were playing old wartime songs for a singalong. It set me wondering if by the time I'm in one they'll be doing Sex Pistols singalongs...

Savannah - could have been New Zealand...
