It's not just the Hatter that's mad...

You might remember back before Christmas I did a photo shoot with Castle Douglas High School Enterprise Group (see A Mad Hatter's Tea Party) to help promote their vintage-style cake stands, and one of the photos ended up on the cover of the January edition of Dumfries and Galloway Life magazine.

Well, last month they competed in the regional finals and won 4 out of the 9 different awards, including best stand and overall winner.

I'd been invited along and it has to be said they were in a different league to most of the others. They donned the Alice in Wonderland costumes again and printed up my photo really large to put on their stand - the overall effect was outstanding.

Today, the editor of Dumfries and Galloway Life, Andrea Thompson (who won best business advisor) sent me a photo from the photographer covering the event, Allan Devlin

Apart from the slightly manic expression on my face, which makes me look madder than the mad hatter himself, I have to say I'm really proud of the team who all worked so hard, and managed to raise several hundred pounds for local charities too.

In June they'll be heading off for the National finals. I'll be waiting for the result with my fingers crossed.
