First blog

When someone first asked me if I was a blogger I thought they were being obscene, but like most forms of new technology (digital cameras, mobile phones, microwave ovens, indoor toilets etc) I have eventually come round to trying it out for myself.

So, all blogs have to start somewhere and this is mine. I think I'll now go and put a long playing record on the gramophone...
