Spring Fling is an annual open studio event across the South West of Scotland where all sorts of artists – from potters and painters to sculptors and jewellery makers – open their doors to the public for a long weekend.
It’s been going for the past 10 years. I’ve been in it the past 2 and my wife, Maggie, has been for the past 4.
This year the Spring Fling blog started doing features on the different artists involved, and this week I take centre stage.
You can read all about it here:

ReplyDelete"I make people look cool for a living." AWESOME!!!!! :)
And in case you don't know it, you look cool while doing so. :)
ReplyDelete'Make me look cool! Make me look cool!'
ReplyDeleteI'll get over one day! :¬)
Kim, are there any such events that take place towards the end of the year?
ReplyDeleteBut Kim - hadn't you realised? It's Autumn.
ReplyDeleteConny - thank you :)
ReplyDeleteHope - When we were kids, we all wanted to be the cool kid, or at least be cool enough to hang out with the cool kids. However, I was always on the outside, never cool. But I remember the feeling and came to realise it's a universal feeling. Even the cool kids didn't feel cool on the inside and were terrified of being found out. These days I know it's all myth, but the great thing about photography is we can make it say anything we want. So now we can all look cool if we want to :)
Mapstew - you're already so cool it would make my job very easy :)
Falak - there are different art events around the country, but this one takes place here usually over the last weekend in May :)
Pat - aye, it's been Autumn here since about May...
