3 days and 3 nights

Of course Maggie and I have had time away from the kids over the years.

A night here, a night there. Sometimes even two consecutive nights, although that is rarer.

But three nights?

The last time Maggie and I had three nights in a row without any children was...

...before Rogan was born.

So we're talking about 16 years or thereabouts.

It's been a long, long winter.

A cottage overlooking the sea with a path down to the beach at the bottom of the garden.

Three nights.

There aren't the words...

Have a good weekend!

  7. Thank you all for your comments. I have to say we had a wonderful time. With so much emotional turmoil going on over the past few months (most of which I have not blogged about), this break was really, really needed. And it has done us both much good :)
