Reminder of brighter days

.
It's been dull, wet, cold and grey for the past couple of days. The snow has almost entirely gone and I've forgotten what the sun looks like. So I thought I'd post a few photos I took last week.

  1. What on earth were you doing in Dumfries at sunrise? Nice shot though it is, and it reminds me of that Italian bloke's paintings (he painted Venice a lot and I think his name begins with a C), I can't think of anything that would make me get up and go to Dumfries so early.

  2. Last one is beautiful Kim...!!
And even though you prefer that we appreciate you portrait photography more (which we really do), you rock at landscapes too...*wink*

  3. Damn, you take good pictures! You also just happen to live in a beautiful country that is gorgeous even without the sun. Again, I am constantly amazed with your natural talent for beauty, composition and color.

  5. Eryl - for very sad reasons

Se2 - thank you. I'm not a natural landscape photographer though. I take lots of photos of landscapes because I live in a beautiful area of the country, and I don't have enough faces to photograph...

Ron - sometimes I get lucky. But you have to remember I don't show you the 99.5% that turned out crap

Pat - I thought that was a kind of bean, but I bow to your superior knowledge :)

  6. Beautiful Kim, can a lad be 'homesick' for another country? Well these pics make me want to 'come home'! Thanks! :¬)

  7. Kim, these photos are gorgeous! They ALMOST made miss snow. Which says a lot.

  8. Oh my, those are lovely. It's nice to see some snow; all ours has melted at the moment (although we're due for a storm tonight, I think.)

  10. It's been cold, dull, and gray here, too. So thanks for those brief shining moments.

Erika - praise indeed - thank you :)

Paperback Writer - it's all disappeared here too. Just lots of flooded fields.

  13. By the way Kim, it is easy to "massage your ego" when praising your photography. That's easy because you are one talented man with an eye for composition, color and mood in photographic essays. You are a "natural" believe me.
