Life is like a box of chocolates

The Cracked Man recently played at Auchencairn Village Hall, along with Under The Hammer, to help raise funds for MOOL (Massive Outpouring of Love) - a local organisation dedicated to helping refugees by "organising the collection and delivery of supplies and human kindness to those in need at home and abroad. So far, we have helped locally, and in Calais, Lesvos,Turkey, Syria, Iraq, Hungary and Jordan."

We were delighted to be a part of an event that raised £750 for such a deserving cause.

Just before we started our set I handed my camera to my friend, photographer Allan Wright and asked him if he could attempt to grab a few shots of us playing. Below are some of the ones he got.

Not bad for a landscape photographer...

Meanwhile...

As I was leaving the house to head for Auchencairn, Maggie handed me a box of chocolates to put into the raffle. We've been eating healthily since Christmas but have struggled against its siren call several times. This was a good opportunity to remove temptation and contribute to raising a few more pennies for MOOL.

Unfortunately Maggie wasn't too happy when I returned with an even larger box of chocolates that I'd won in the very same raffle...

Ponita - it was easy for him with such good looking subjects... ;)

He did use your camera tho'. It must feel good to be helping in a productive way rather than just donating.

Pat - it does indeed :)

How I admire the way creative people get up and do over there, how they work together.

These are goooood photos, Kim.

You didn't bring home more chocolates! I've just given a pile away to a child for her birthday, haha.

Neena - Allan's a good friend and a good photographer. And yes, the new box of chocolates is sitting there tempting us in the same way the old one was...

I particularly like Allan's profile shot of you in photo one...well done Allan! I'm sure there was some poor chocolate/sugar deprived person at the event who would have been more than willing to take that box of chocolates off your hands :D :D :D

Theanne - that's one of my favourites too :) And yes, I should have just put it straight back in for someone else to win it, but I didn't think of that until I was driving home...
