The blog of photographer Kim Ayres

Sofa

.
Sofa.

Stairs.

Corners.

Much hilarity ensued.

Except for those involved in trying to manoeuvre the bloody thing.

Relieved no one thought to film it and put it on YouTube.

Meanwhile, Rogan has set up his own blog, Ramblings of the Unbearded Son.

He asked me to mention it.

I *hate* moving furniture for this exact reason. We spent the weekend touching up paint from where furniture had scraped the walls.

Congrats to the unbearded son.

The apple has definitely not fallen far from the tree (or the bamboo).

Bit of a 'Right said Fred' moment was it?
I'll hotfoot it to the unbearded one.

Rogan's blog is wonderful! Interesting to see two sides of the same episode.

Good for Rogan, getting his own point of view across, and interesting for the rest of us too! Who moved the sofa?

Please, no more talk of moving anything! Sorry I have been absent of late. I have been, um, moving. :)

It wasn't the same incident, although it is all part of trying to resort the house to an extent.

As Rogan mentions on his blog, the downstairs living area has been somewhat cluttered since Maggie's Spring Fling event.

Rogan & Maggie rearranged the downstairs room while Meg and I were away. This freed up space for me and Maggie to move a redundant extra sofa upstairs the following day, which is what my post is about.

I would say thanks for your support for The Unbearded Son, but I fear it might encourage him. Especially as half his posts so far seem to be anexcuse to poke fun at his father...

Fantastic, Rogan! I'll go over and say "Hello."
By the way, an interesting aside: my word verification started with "Razz" - I think that many kids who poke lighthearted fun at their parents do so with GREAT affection, and I'm sure that's the case here. And I'm sure you know that and secretly love it, haha! :)

I haven't caught up with the blogging world but will soon. In the meantime, I just wanted to let you know, I will not be blogging for awhile (which doesn't mean you escape from emails). My life has taken a hectic turn with our son, his wife, and daughter moving in with us and I am trying to find another part-time job with the added expenses so I won't be on the computer as much. When I get a break, I will enjoy reading what you have to say here in your blog.
